More sleep, please!
Most of us have heard of “Monday cardiac phenomenon” (more cardiac events occur on Mondays than any other day of the week). This has been linked to changes in both the quality and the quantity of sleep associated with the transition from the weekend to the work week.
According to numerous studies, when daylight savings gets added into the mix heart attacks are increased by 10 percent on the Monday and Tuesday following the time change to DST and are decreased by 10 percent on the first Monday and Tuesday after clocks are switched back in the fall.
Since we are halfway through the work week, why not get some extra rest and prepare our bodies for the time change happening on Sunday. Lets all aim to get the highest quality and longest sleep we can possibly get starting tonight — We all can benefit from it!
