Have you ever heard of the condition called “Frozen Shoulder”?

Frozen shoulder, aka Adhesive capsulitis, causes pain and stiffness in the shoulder. The smooth tissues of the shoulder capsule become thick, stiff, and inflamed. The pain could last for weeks and is followed by a period of gradual stiffening of the shoulder as the pain resolves. The hallmark sign of this condition is being unable to move the shoulder both actively and passively.

Frozen shoulder is seen more in people with diabetes and medical condition that affects the mobility of the arm such as a stroke. It can also develop after a shoulder has been immobilized for a period of time due to surgery, a fracture, or other injury.

The chiropractic approach is to control the pain and restore motion and strength.
