Do you spend most of the day in the office chair? If so, you are highly susceptible to muscular imbalance. When an individual is fixed in a sitting posture for long periods, the muscles start to adapt themselves in a sitting posture. Prolonged sitting weakens the abdominals and the gluteals and tightens the back and the psoas leading to a condition called lower crossed syndrome. This pattern of imbalance creates joint dysfunction and pain. Similar to upper cross syndrome, lower cross syndrome can be corrected with conservative chiropractic care.
